Youth & Confirmation

Confirmation for 7th & 8th Grade
Youth meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm, September - May. Classes are led by Pastor Jim Wendt and a helper. The class continues to meet through their eighth-grade year. Our youth are confirmed on Pentecost Sunday in the spring.

Together we study the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and Martin Luther’s explanations as found in the Small Catechism. We learn through our actions as well as through worship and have the chance to talk about our faith with others at home and at church. It is our goal that at the end of these classes you will be able write a faith statement that is meaningful for you.

Youth at First
Our Youth participate in a variety of activities throughout the year, including going on mission trips and participating in the ELCA Youth Gathering every three years.
