Pastor Jim Wendt

Pastor Jim Wendt is a native of Oregon, WI. He received his bachelor’s degree at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, IA and then received a Master of Divinity degree at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque. He served for eight years as a full-time Youth Minister at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Madison and his wife Laura volunteered there as an adult leader. They have been married for almost twenty-seven years. He served as pastor at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Marinette, WI for 11 years prior to coming to First Lutheran. Laura is employed at Marshfield Medical Center- Beaver Dam as a registered nurse. They have five children, three sons and two daughters. Together they enjoy gardening, travel and attending their children’s sporting events. As a family they enjoy going to the Wendt family cabin where they spend time fishing, kayaking, snow shoeing, and hiking. The family also enjoys cooking together, spending quality time and creating new memories.
